Everything that happens before your first question
Eight steps stand between you and the interview. Here's exactly what each one involves so there are no surprises on the day.
Download the Desktop App
To ensure a secure testing environment, all interviews must be taken on our dedicated desktop application. Download and install the LetsHyre app for your operating system.
Sign In to the App
Launch the desktop app and log in with your candidate credentials. If you don't have an account yet, visit letshyre.ai to create a profile. Your account holds your interview slot, profile photo, and results.
Start from Your Dashboard
After signing in you'll land on your personal dashboard showing your profile and available interview slots. Click Take Interview to begin — the app immediately runs a background security check before anything else opens.
Clear Your Environment
The security scanner checks for applications that could compromise exam integrity — web browsers, screen recorders, AI assistants, and video-call tools. Any flagged app must be closed before you can proceed.
Grant Device Permissions
You'll be prompted to allow access to your microphone, camera, and screen. All three are required for live proctoring. Grant each permission when your operating system asks — the interview cannot proceed without them.
Verify Your Identity
Read a short statement aloud for voice registration, then allow the camera to take a live photo. Your live image is compared against the profile photo you uploaded when creating your account.
Choose Your Interview Role
Select the position you're interviewing for. You can proceed with the role assigned during onboarding, or choose a different slot if multiple are available to you.
Begin Your Interview
You're all set. The interview window opens in full-screen with screen recording active. Answer each question within the allocated time — you can navigate between questions before the session timer runs out.
